Don't Have a Clue what FAR means & NOW the Auditors are Coming?
The morning session will focus on Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) terms for allowable and unallowable overhead for architects and engineers performing design services for the public sector (Federal, State, Local and Quasi Governmental agencies). This session will help you determine what you can and can not include in determining your allowable FAR Overhead, project costing and invoicing practices, explain governmental audit rules, and help you to prepare for a pre- or post project audit.
The afternoon session will cover contract fee types (lump sum, cost plus to a max, and cost plus fixed fee), invoicing issues, and 12 tips for defining scope-of-work and then how to identify and invoice for scope creep.
The speakers, Betsy Scott, Jennifer Berks Blake and Michael Ingardia, are nationally known within the A-E industry for their knowledge of contracting terms and conditions as well as FAR and DCAA audit procedures and the use of software accounting systems. Learn to minimize unallowable costs!
