Michael P. Ingardia, P.E.

Mr. Ingardia has over 37 years experience working for and with A-E design firms. He conducts training programs and provides consulting services to the A-E design industry on financial and project accounting systems, electronic deliverables, the federal acquisition regulations (FAR), managing project scope creep, and the impact of technology on professional liability.

He conducts technology peer reviews for A-E design firms to evaluate the technology operations that support the project manager. The goals are to better handle electronic deliverables, better understand the legal and liability implications of e-mail, and make better use of project accounting software.

Mr. Ingardia assists clients to evaluate their current financial and project accounting applications, and if needed, help define their requirements for a new system. Ms. Blake and Mr. Ingardia developed the proprietary SMC Decision Log of 70 issues design firms should consider before selecting and implementing a new financial and project accounting system.

Michael is a licensed professional engineer, a member of NSPE, ASCE, and ACEC, and a former member of ACEC's Management Practices Committee.
